What if I don't live in one of the countries you are shipping to?

If you would like to purchase an Eta Clock and live outside of our shipping zones (United States, Canada, United Kingdom), please send us a message for more information. We are happy to work with anyone on a personal basis to ensure expedited and budget-friendly shipping.

Can a person be tracked on multiple clocks?

Yes! Our mobile app will allow users to be part of multiple clock communities, each individually configurable. This means a user can share different locations with each clock owner, providing maximum flexibility and granular privacy.

Where does a hand appear if it is not at any of the clock locations?

When a user is not at a known location (such as “home”, “work”, or “school”), the user’s clock hand will land on “out”. If a user has had no geolocation updates for more than 5 days, the hand will land on “lost”.

What happens if the Eta Clock service becomes unavailable? Will my clock be useless?

In the event something dreadful happens and our company can no longer support hosting the location tracking service - we will provide each of our clock owners with instructions on how to setup their own host. After seeing how much people love our device in their homes, we can’t imagine ever taking that away from them. Rest assured, we will always find a way to keep you connected!

What are the behaviors of the custom icons?

You can view all of our icons by category here: http://etaclock.com/images/product/IconTable.png

The behavior of each category is explained below.

Required Icons represent locations that must be part of your Eta Clock. A user must define his or her home address and then the remaining locations are calculated based on that address.

Provided Icons represent locations that we, the Eta Clock team, provide for our clock owners. These are public locations or geological variations that can accurately be determined (e.g. water).

User-Defined Icons represent locations that each, individual user defines by it’s address.

User Toggle Icons represent states of being and are set by each individual user. When I user wants to be displayed as one of these “states”, he or she simply needs to toggle a button in their app. All toggle states will be disabled when a user returns home. The exception to this rule is “Mortal Peril” which will remain active until the user turns off the toggle.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
